Frank Trotta Elected Chairman of the Board of Directors

Suffolk Credit Union today announced the election of its Board leadership team, with Frank C. Trotta elected Chairman of the Board of Directors. Trotta, a Suffolk Credit Union member for more than 50 years and former Vice Chairman of the volunteer Board, will lead the Board's continued focus on strong governance, strategic oversight, member value, and service to communities across Long Island.

In addition to Trotta's election as Chairman, Phil Bauccio has been elected Vice Chairman, James J. Maggio, Jr. has been elected Treasurer, and Robert Spadaccini has been elected Secretary. Together, the Board officers and volunteer directors will continue guiding Suffolk Credit Union's long-term strategy and commitment to serving its members and communities.

Trotta, a Bellport resident, brings decades of leadership experience in business, public service, and community engagement to the role. He is the owner of Fire News, a publication serving the fire and EMS community across Long Island and 17 states, and is also a principal in a family-owned real estate development company. A graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy, he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from Long Island University.

His public service spans more than three decades, including 31 years as an elected official for the Village of Bellport, where he served 27 years as its longest-serving mayor. He also serves as Chaplain of the Bellport Fire Department and the South Country Ambulance Company while supporting numerous charitable and civic organizations throughout Long Island.

"Frank's lifelong commitment to service, his deep community roots, and his dedication to Suffolk Credit Union's mission make him an outstanding choice to lead our volunteer Board," said Michele Dean, President and CEO of Suffolk Credit Union. "His leadership and experience will help guide Suffolk Credit Union as we continue delivering exceptional value to our members and strengthening the communities we serve."

"I am honored to serve as Chairman of Suffolk Credit Union's Board of Directors," said Trotta. "I look forward to working alongside my fellow Board members and the leadership team to build on our strong foundation and continue advancing our mission of improving the financial well-being of our members and the communities we serve."

Trotta succeeds James J. Maggio, Jr., who served as Chairman of the Board for the past 12 years. A Suffolk Credit Union member for more than 40 years and Board member since 2008, Maggio played an instrumental role in guiding the credit union's growth and strategic direction and will continue serving on the Board as Treasurer.

"Jim's leadership has had a tremendous impact on Suffolk Credit Union over the past 12 years," Dean said. "On behalf of our Board, leadership team, employees, and members, I thank him for his outstanding service as Chairman. We are grateful that he will continue sharing his experience and leadership as Treasurer."
