We restrict access to non-public personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your non-public personal information.

What members can do to help:

  • Protect your account numbers, PINs and passwords.
  • Be cautious about disclosing your account number, social security number, etc., to other persons.
  • Keep your information with Suffolk Credit Union current so we can reach you if we detect potential problems.

Digital Privacy Practices

Suffolk Credit Union is committed to safeguarding information about members and visitors to the Suffolk Credit Union website.

The Suffolk Credit Union Privacy Notice explains our collection, use, retention and security of consumer information and applies to Suffolk Credit Union products and services offered for consumer (not business) purposes. Online activities of consumers may be subject to both the Suffolk Credit Union Privacy Policy and the Suffolk Credit Union Digital Privacy Practices.

These Digital Privacy Practices explain our privacy practices regarding the information we collect about you when you visit or make transactions on Suffolk Credit Union’s website.

Mobile Banking App:

The Suffolk Credit Union mobile application periodically collects, transmits, and uses geolocation information for enabling features that prevent fraudulent card use and alerts, but only if you, “the End User”, expressly authorizes collection of such information. Geolocation information can be monitored on a continuous basis in the background only while the Suffolk Credit Union mobile application is being used or not at all, depending on the End User’s selection. The End User can change his/her/their location permissions at any time in their device settings.

The Suffolk Credit Union mobile application will request and, with your consent, periodically collect/transmit/sync/store the following data:

  • Device’s camera access for mobile remote deposits.
  • Device’s location for maps and Suffolk Credit Union locations.
  • Device’s storage access for attachments in secure messages.
  • Device’s contacts for recipient lists for person-to-person payments.
  • Device’s microphone for communication over chat.

Secure Transmissions:

To ensure information remains confidential, Suffolk Credit Union uses encryption technology such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to protect information you enter and submit from our website.

Email Security:

Regular Internet email is not secure. You should never provide information that is sensitive or confidential such as your social security number, account number or PIN numbers. We also ask that you do not send personal or account Information through regular email.

How we may use information:

We may collect information during your website visit in order to provide you with offers and information. We may also use the information we collect from you online to contact you via telephone, e-mail or other means regarding offers of products and services that may be of interest to you.

How we collect information online:
