We’re excited to announce Card Controls! 

With Card Controls, you can now set transaction limits, view spending insights, track your reward points, add cards to your digital wallet, and more – all within online and mobile banking. 


Benefits of Card Controls 

With Card Controls, you’ll have access to a range of convenient new features including: 

  • Card management - manage all your SCU cards – including family members – in one place, anytime, anywhere. 

  • Spending insights – see clear details of your spending with merchant names, logos, maps, and contact info. 

  • Set Transaction Alerts – monitoring card usage to receive alerts in real-time. 

  • Digital Wallet - Easily add your card to Apple Pay or Google Pay on your mobile device. 

  • uChoose Rewards – track and redeem your rewards points directly in online banking.

Self-service options 

  • Reset your PIN - Forgot your PIN or just want to create a new one for security reasons? You can easily reset it with Card Controls, making it quick and convenient to get back to using your card.

  • Report a Lost or Stolen Card - If you misplace your card or suspect theft, you can immediately report it lost or stolen through Card Controls. This feature allows you to act quickly so you can prevent unauthorized transactions and order a replacement card. 

  • Lock your card - Misplaced your card or want to add an extra layer of security? We’ve all been there. You can lock your card to prevent any new transactions until your card is found and unlocked.

  • Manage Travel Plans - Use Card Controls before traveling to notify SCU of your travel plans. Managing your travel plans in the app reduces the risk of your card being flagged for unusual activity during your trip. 

Frequently asked Card Control questions.

Simply open your SCU mobile banking app, tap “Card Controls,” on the thumb-bar and you’ll have access to all the new features. You can also access the Card Controls from Online Banking. 

No, everything is built right into your mobile banking app. 

To view spend insights, tap: 

  • “What” to view a breakdown of your spending categories. 

  • “When” to view a breakdown by month. 

  • “Where” to view the location of your transactions on the map. 

  • Any transaction to view the merchant’s name, logo, map, and contact information. 

On the Card Controls home screen, you’ll find “Controls and Alerts” under Manage Card.  From here you can manage locations, merchant types, transaction types, and spend limits. You can also enable “My Location” to limit transactions to your phone’s GPS, and “My Region” to set geographic boundaries. You can also block all international transactions. You can also set up alerts for all card activity, select card activity or none.

To report a lost or stolen card, simply tap: 

  1. “Manage Card” under your missing card. 

  1. “Report Lost or Stolen.” 

  1. Specify whether the card was lost or stolen and add additional notes. 

  1. “Next.” 

  1. “Continue” to disable your card. 

  1. “Contact us” to dial our customer service line. We’ll get a new card on its way. 

Yes, you can add travel plans. Simply tap “Manage Card,” then “Manage Travel Plans.” You can then tap “Add Travel Plan” to add the countries and US states for your trip. Then, you can enter tour destination(s), dates of departure and return, and tap “Submit.” Once submitted, it will display on the “Manage Travel Plans” screen.  You can edit or delete it at any time. 

"Card on File” is when a merchant stores your credit card information to make it easier for you to make future purchases. To see which merchants store your card, tap “Card on File” under Card Details.Card on File” is when a merchant stores your credit card information to make it easier for you to make future purchases. “Recurring Payments” shows merchants that have your card stored for subscription services, like video streaming or utilities.

“Card on File” shows stores/merchants that have saved your card for future use, like online shopping (like Amazon), ride share services and others. 

To add a new card to your digital wallet, tap the Apple Pay® or Google Pay® icon. located below the card image in your app. For iOS users, tap “Add to Apple Wallet.” For Android® users, tap “Add to Google Wallet.” Your card information is pre-filled. Just tap “Next” to add it to your digital wallet. Once added, you’ll see a confirmation screen. Then, tap “Done” to return to your mobile app.
